Bill Finger, Bob Kane and, Jerry Robinson made The Joker appear in the Batman comic book’s first issue (April 25, 1940). He was intended to be a one-off villain but was spared by the editors, which paved the way to him as Batman’s nemesis.
Joker as the Supervillain
