Shopping Black Friday sales? Get started now.
Some of the nation's biggest retailers– including Walmart, Target, Best Buy and Kohl's– have already begun their sales and more will start ahead of Black Friday proper.
And with the exceptionof Walmart, most deals are available in stores and online, while supplies last. Walmart's sale kicked off Monday online and stores will open 5 a.m. Friday with most of the same sale items.
But the hard-to-find Xbox Series X andPlayStation 5, which quickly sold out in Walmart's online sale, will not be availablein-store because they were online-only offers.
For the second year, most major retailers will keep stores closed on Thanksgiving. (See the list including what stores also are open here.)

For years, Thanksgiving and Black Friday havemarkedthe official kickoff to the holiday shopping season and the time of year when shoppers get focused on holiday spending.
That rush of spending gave Black Friday its name, as in the time of year when retailers were "in the black." For nearly a decade, that official kickoffhas been creeping ever closer to Thanksgiving, eating into time people used to spend around the holiday table.
But the second holiday shoppingseason of thepandemiccontinues to be different from past years.
This year, shoppers should expect a triple whammy with fewer deals, more items out of stock and shipping delays due to ongoing supply chain bottlenecks.
More shoppers are expected to show up in stores than last Black Friday, which was the "quietest in 20 years" as real-life foot traffic plummeteddue to pandemicfears, according to a Coresight Research report.
Online shopping is expected to continue to grow.TheNational Retail Federation, the nation’s largest retail trade group, expects that holiday sales gain could shatter last year’s record-breaking season even with higher prices expected.
