There are many things to do in Potion Permit, including romancing characters and focusing on fishing… but the main part of the game is based around making potions.
Today, I am here to share with you a complete guide on how to make all the potion in Potion Permit.
You will learn how the brewing of potions works in the game, as well as check out a complete list of potions that are available in the game. This full guide will include their name, value and what each potion does.
Since the making of potions differs a bit from other games, as you can use different ingredients for making the same potion, we’ll focus on that mechanic first.
Potion Permit – How to Make Potions
In order to make a potion in the game, you will need to first go to your home and interact with your Cauldron. Then, select the recipe you want to make and finally, select the ingredients for the potion.
This is where it gets interesting: you can use various ingredients for making the same potion. As long as they properly fill the puzzle-like challenge of that particular recipe, you’re good to go.
Here is what the puzzle looks like, where you simply need to find the matching ingredients. Each ingredient has a different Tetris-like shape attached to it:
Once you have mixed and matched the ingredients, you can start brewing your potion:
Important: When brewing potions in Potion Permit, try to use as few ingredients as possible. You can use many if you want, but it’s just a waste.
Also, for some more advanced potions you will be forced to use ingredients of a certain type out of the four in the game: Fire, Water, Wind and Earth.
Potion Permit – “Add to Recipe” Explained
For the potions that you will prepare more regularly, the game allows you to save the recipe. This option is unlocked after you brew that same potion for the fifth time.
Once a particular potion has been brewed five times, you get the “Add to Recipe” option in the game.
The game will tell you how many times you have to brew it before the option becomes available, as seen in the image above. This lets you save the exact recipe you have used, with the ingredients you’ve used in the same place.
Next time you want to brew that potion, you can brew it directly by pressing the highlighted button when interacting with the Cauldron. This saves you a lot of time and should be used with potions that you constantly make.
The only downside here is that you can only save three recipes. However, you can replace the existing ones by simply trying to save a new recipe. When you do, you will be asked to replace an existing one.
